Lexicon: logline and one-line idea
A logline is a story in a single sentence: who, what they want, what stands in the way. Several tools take one as a starting point and write the rest themselves. From 8 source pages, read 2026-09-25 to 2026-10-25; no maker pays to be listed.
The register records it because vendors list it beside scripts and chapters in the same box. It is not an import of existing text in any real sense, and nothing about length or extraction applies to it.
A tool that takes both a logline and a full script usually treats them differently; the pages rarely say how.
