Primer: preparing a manuscript for import
Before a manuscript goes into any of these tools, three things decide whether it gets in whole: the route, the length and the language. Check the route first. From 7 source pages, read 2026-09-25; no maker pays to be listed.
If the tool names file types, save in one of them; if it offers only a paste box, copy the text as plain text and expect formatting to go.
Then measure the manuscript in the unit the tool uses. A counter under the box, a character limit, a word limit and a page limit are four different measures, and a novel that fits one may not fit another.
Last, check the language. Most tools say nothing about the language of the source, and one translates its results into English whatever goes in. A writer who needs the breakdown in the source language should know that before uploading.

2What happens after the text goes in
After the intake question in “Preparing a manuscript for import”, SceneMixer describes what it does with the text:
Every character comes out of the script read with a voice described in words — age, weight, pace, where it sits.

The same three-step project and editor a drama uses, with ad wording: Ad script, Cast & set, Shots.

The primers describe what vendors wrote on their intake pages; product behaviour beyond the wording is not claimed.
