Lexicon: shot list
A shot list is a numbered list of the camera set-ups a scene needs, each with its framing and what it shows. Several tools produce one from a script; two also take one in as a source. From 9 source pages, read 2026-09-25 to 2026-10-13; no maker pays to be listed.
A tool that breaks text into shots has made choices about framing and pacing that a writer may want to check, which is why the editing checkpoint matters most for these tools.
Shots are recorded under extraction when the tool makes them and under formats when it takes them in.
